| This piece is a bowl turned from Big Leaf Maple Burl. Except for removing the bark, the edge of the bowl was not touched during the turning process leaving it "natural" or "as it grew on the tree". Because the bark has been removed, the edge exhibits points and bumps on the surface making these bowls a very dramatic collaboration with nature.
